China Hire
Vintage China hire is quoted for 1 day usage with a day either side for delivery or collection.
Please note this does not include set up, or the provision of food and drink. Set up if required is available at an extra cost dependant on party size.
Cost of hire is £4.50 per person
Each vintage set contains the following:
1 teapot ( per 6 people)
1 cake stand and cake plate (per 6 people)
1 cake slice
1 milk jug (per 6 people)
1 sugar bowl (per 6 people)
1 cup and saucer
1 tea plate
1 teaspoons
1 cake fork
1 butter knife

Deposit
A non refundable deposit of £15 is required from you to secure the date and service required. The payment is non refundable if you cancel. The full balance will be payable on delivery. Payment can be made by Paypal, cash or bank transfer
In relation to china hire a damage deposit cheque of £25 will also be required 14 days prior to the event. This will not be banked, and will be returned to you when the china is collected and checked. Any breakages/damages will incur a £5 fee per item, with the exception of cake stands & teapots which will incur £15 per item. In the unlikely event that damages exceed the deposit cheque full replacement cost will be required at a reasonable cost agreed.
Hire Period
Hire period is generally 2 to 3 days to ensure you have time to set up. If you need anything other than this, please contact me, and I will do all I can to accommodate you. Once delivered the items are your responsibiility and you must take due care and attention during the hire period.
Delivery and Return
Delivery location and time and pick up times will be agreed at time of order.
The hired items will be collected and washed by myself, so I would just ask that all food is carefully wiped off, all tea pots, sugar bowls, etc are empty and that all items are carefully repacked in the same way they were delivered. Do not place these items in a dishwater as this will cause damage to them.
The hire price does not include for set up. I can however assist in setting up as required but this is chargeable.
Additional information
Due to the eclectic nature of my vintage china collection I do not guarantee that the items will match. They will be offered as mis-matched sets, which do look most endearing when you mix and match. We do have some matching sets for small parties so please ask! The china will not be cracked or chipped and will be fully functional for use. Some gold gilding and patterns may show signs of age, and there may be slight crazing on the extra old items, but this will not detract from its beauty/functionality in any way. Should you need to add extras after the total hire has been paid for, we will strive to meet these requirements but cannot guarantee this will happen. Orders can not be reduced once final payment is accepted.
Cancellation
In the event of cancellation within 14 days of the hire date 50% of the total hire or party cost will be required. If the cancellation is made 30 days prior to the event then 20% of the total hire or party cost will be retained. In the event of cancellation by either party due to adverse weather conditions eg. snow, then an alternative date can be offered or the full amount refunded.
Liability
Cakes By Rebecca Louise take no responsibility in the event of any injury to any party through breakages or accidents concerning any equipment hired from us during the hire period.
In relation to tea party's whilst every effort will be made to provide a safe environment for the party, the client will be ultimately responsible for the safety of their guests Cakes By Rebecca Louise will take no responsibility for injury however caused during the party.
The client is responsible for any breakages incuured by themselves or their guests and will be required to pay for damage at the costs quoted above. It would therefore be appreciated if guests take due care with the china.
